This week, Civmec affirmed its commitment to a number of local community betterment programs in the form of partnerships with the University of Newcastle, and the Hunter Mountain Bike Association.
The University of Newcastle Rugby Union Club (UNRUC) will benefit from the generous sponsorship both financially and in the form of community engagement.
A new shipping container has been erected at the finish line of the Awaba Mountain Bike Park thanks to Civmec. This container will help the Hunter Mountain Bike Association(HMBA) store biking and emergency equipment, making it easier for the club to promote mountain biking in the area as an exciting recreational activity.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Patrick Tallon said “Civmec is delighted to form a partnership with The University and the Hunter Mountain Bike Association – we are committed to engaging within the local community to strengthen relationships with the Newcastle people, which also gives us an opportunity to demonstrating what Civmec has to offer on the broader scale. Civmec is in Newcastle for the long term, this is not just a short-term project for us”.
“We are currently manufacturing steel and concrete elements for several of NSW’s prestigious projects and we are always looking for the new employees in the business. Rugby and mountain biking are both tough sports and we would love to have employees with those mental and physical attributes!” Said Mr. Tallon.
