Employees at our Henderson and Newcastle facilities, and across our projects, participated in Business Clean Up Day on Tuesday February 26, cleaning up their local area and contributing to a cleaner environment.

Civmec has been awarded a significant contract from Albemarle Lithium Pty Ltd for the delivery of a new lithium hydroxide plant to be built in Western Australia’s south-west.

Civmec has partnered with Luerssen Australia and ASC to launch the Shipbuilding Education and Apprenticeship (SEA) program, which will help build the skills needed for Australia’s multibillion-dollar naval shipbuilding industry.

Construction has commenced on the first of the 12 Project SEA 1180 offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) at Osborne in South Australia, using steel cut at Civmec’s Henderson facility in Western Australia.

Civmec participated in the 2018 Vinnie’s Drive- In, Sleep-In during October.

The Drive-In, Sleep-In helps raise awareness and funds to support people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

Civmec has achieved two important milestones at its Henderson facility:

  • the erection of the first steel for one of the world’s largest undercover Ship Assembly Halls; and
  • the preparation of steel for delivery to South Australia for Australia’s new fleet of Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs).

Civmec took home the Category 6 Award (for projects valued more than $75 million) at the Civil Contractors Federation Earth Awards, for works on the Optus Stadium.

Tomorrow, Australian-based Civmec Limited (Civmec) (code CVL) will officially list on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). As Civmec is currently listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) the company will now have dual listing status.
