Works on the three-metre wide pedestrian bridge are set to commence in early 2021, employing more than 40 people and utilising almost 300 tonnes of steel.
Manufacturing of the steel will occur locally in WA, with completion of the project anticipated in mid-2021.
The bridge will provide children and their loved ones with a safe and bright way to cross busy Winthrop Avenue to the beautiful city parklands across the road.
