Civmec together with Luerssen has agreed to form a new company, Australian Maritime Shipbuilding and Export Group (AMSEG).

Civmec’s General Manager of Defence, Commodore Mike Deeks CSC RAN (Rtd) has been appointed by the Western Australian Premier the Hon. Mark McGowan as the next Agent General for Western Australia based in London.

Today, Civmec together with its subsidiaries advised that they have been awarded a contract from Luerssen Australia in relation to the SEA1180 Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) project.

Yesterday, Civmec employees at our major facilities Henderson, Newcastle and projects participated in Clean up Australia Day – an event that has been running since 1989 and has become Australia’s largest community-based environment event.

Civmec was contracted by Seymour Whyte for the fabrication, offsite trial assembly, delivery and site assembly of a 200 metre long bridge for the Nepean River shared path bridge; the complex structure consisting of over 820T of tubular truss sections.
