Civmec has secured a significant Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract as well as other new construction and maintenance contracts for clients in the metals and minerals market with a combined value of approximately AUD $90 million.
Civmec, through its wholly owned subsidiary Forgacs Marine and Defence Pty Ltd, today commenced the first day of construction of their state-of-the-art 29,000m2, 18-storey high, purpose built ship and module construction, ship repair and maintenance facility.
Civmec as part of the Amec Foster Wheeler Civmec JV (ACJV), has been issued a Notice to Proceed by the Gruyere Project Joint Venture (a 50:50 unincorporated joint venture between Gold Roads Resources Limited and Gruyere Mining Company Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gold Field Limited) for an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the Gruyere Gold Project, located within the Yamarna greenstone belt, approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.

Civmec has been awarded two significant contracts totaling AUD$160 million as part of the development of a processing facility for Rio Tinto’s Amrun project near Weipa in North Queensland.
ForgacsValco will provide valve maintenance services for all makes and a range of valve types. The services will primarily involve the repair, overhaul and testing of valves. All activity will be conducted within a dedicated valve workshop located at Civmec’s West Australian facility.
